GRIZZLY BEAR HUNTING REGULATIONS
IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

1. Females with cubs and yearlings are all protected.

2. No baiting is allowed.

3. No hunting in national parks and ecological reserves and some provincial parks.

4. No trade in bear parts.

5. Compulsory inspection of all Grizzly Bears.

6. Province-wide limited entry hunting allows a draw for a limited number of tags in some management units.

7. Most management units adjacent to the US have been closed to hunting for at least 30 years.

8. Management units with recovering populations and highly accessible feeding sites are closed to hunting.
