The Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia was established in 1966 and today represents nearly 200 licensed guide outfitters in BC, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. In BC, more than 75% of all active licensed guide outfitters are members of the GOABC.

Members of GOABC are licensed professionals who are fully insured and who subscribe to a code of ethical standards that they are all proud of. Association members are true professionals ready to provide clients with an experience of a lifetime.

Mission Statement
The Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia is committed to a strong and stable guide outfitting industry in British Columbia that offers the highest quality wilderness experiences and professional standards in North America. The Association is committed to the promotion and practice of wise conservation management and use of all natural resources.

The Guide Outfitters Association of British Columbia recognizes the importance of strengthening co-operation and promoting cordial relations between its members. The Association seeks to improve laws governing or affecting the guiding and tourism industry in BC, and to protect its members from unfair and discriminatory legislation. The Association is committed to raising the profile of guide outfitting in a positive and professional manner which will benefit the industry as a whole.
